Malika Zarra: On the Ebony Road
June 4, 2009Jazz singer and composer Malika Zarra was born in a small village in Southern Morocco. She spent much of her childhood though in a suburb of Paris and began playing the clarinet in grade school. Known for her fusion of jazz and Arabic song Zarra discusses her work, her debut album On the Ebony Road, and the many influences on her music.
