February 26, 2009Joel Kovel, a long-time professor at Bard College and the author of Overcoming Zionism was recently terminated from his post as a part-time professor after 21 years of teaching. Kovel says that the University and its president, Leon Botstein, have fired him because of his views on Zionism and his outspoken criticism of the state of Israel.
